Las Cruces Foundation Repair helps homeowners in Las Cruces and Doña Ana County find local foundation repair professionals. We are not a contractor ourselves. We are a connection between you and the licensed, insured contractors who do the work.
If you have noticed cracks, sticking doors or uneven floors, this page explains how the process works and what to expect.
How it works
You call (575) 249-7768. Your call is connected to licensed and insured local foundation repair contractors. A contractor then looks at the problem in person and gives you a written quote.
The quote comes after the contractor has seen your home. Cost depends on the cause, the type of foundation, the repair method and how much of the house is affected.
What a contractor looks at
An inspection covers cracks, floor levels, doors and windows, and the drainage and grading around the house. The goal is to find the likely cause before any repair is recommended.
Not every crack is structural. Thin hairline cracks from concrete shrinkage are common. Cracks that widen, sit offset, or run in a stair-step pattern deserve a closer look.
Why the Las Cruces area is different
The Mesilla Valley is the Rio Grande floodplain, and caliche layers in local soil can keep water from soaking in. Long dry stretches followed by heavy late-summer monsoon storms can change soil moisture around a foundation quickly. Where grading slopes toward a house, runoff from storms and nearby arroyos can collect near the walls.
Homes in neighborhoods like Mesilla Park, University Park, Sonoma Ranch and Picacho Hills can all deal with these conditions.
Where help is available
Contractors connected through this site serve Las Cruces, the county, and nearby towns including Mesilla, Doña Ana, Organ and Anthony.
Before you hire anyone
In New Mexico, the Construction Industries Division (CID) licenses contractors. GB-2 is the residential building classification and GB-98 is general building. You can look up a contractor's license with CID before you hire.
Ask for a written scope of work that says what will be done. Structural repairs may need a permit from the City of Las Cruces or Doña Ana County, and your contractor can explain what applies. For significant movement, or during a home sale, you may also want a licensed structural engineer to evaluate the home.
When you are ready, call (575) 249-7768 to be connected.
